Baker, Glacier, Waterfall, And Wildflowers

Heliotrope Ridge trail ends at a giant cliff looking down and across at the Coleman Glacier. To capture some unique Mount Baker photography wall art, we turned right and hiked along the edge of that cliff all the way to its top edge. This fine art Mount Baker photograph I ended up creating stacks up four elements of this impressive landscape, the mountain peak, the Coleman Glacier extending down from it, the near vertical cliff with a waterfall cascading down it, and a magenta explosion of alpine fireweed wildflowers.
 
My camera is literally hanging over the edge of the cliff above a 100-foot drop, but it was necessary placement to get the angle of this Mount Baker photography print. I am not afraid of heights, yet I am extremely cautious and remain on high alert when doing extreme mountain photography, because you never know what might happen suddenly and catch you off guard. I find it amazing that the three rock slabs in the bottom center of this fine art Mount Baker photograph stand perfectly vertical, pointing straight at the sky. If that doesn't prove how awesome nature is, I don't know what does.
