The Goat Rocks mountains are what’s left of an ancient towering volcano that has eroded away over the last 2 million years, leaving remarkable formations of towering rock which makes for dramatic mountain photography. On this mid-summer day, I had the wonderous experience of hiking thorough those flower covered slopes, and could have spent the whole day happily taking pictures there, but something called me to climb higher on a mission to create the most epic mountain photography available for sale. I reached the ridge leading to Hawkeye Point as the sun was getting low in the sky. The Cascade Mountains spread out to the west and I chose this unique rock formation to be the centerpiece of this dramatic fine art mountain photograph.
