Deep in the South Cascade Mountains is a small lake that inspires endless mountain photography ideas. It’s called Takhlakh Lake which is pronounced tock-lock and it’s situated just to the west of Mount Adams. After a long drive on bumpy, winding roads, I had the pleasure of camping here and creating rustic mountain photography wall art for three days. 
 
I love capturing reflections on water, which requires no wind, and almost never happens mid-day. But on this beautiful August afternoon, in a calm cove at the edge of the lake, I was able to translate this peaceful scene into one of my vertical mountain photography art prints.
